Not long ago I had the opportunity to meet the all time top fuel drag racing legend Big Daddy Don Garlits.My grandson and I went to a car show in Ky where Big Daddy was the feature attraction of the day. We looked around a while at some nice hot rods, bought a few small items and got Big Daddy to autograph them.
I tried to explain to my grandson (on the right in picture with Big Daddy) who he was, but don't think he really grasp the moment. Truth is I was more excited for him to meet the legend than he was. Never the less he took my word for who he was and bought a nice cap with the swamp rat on it, got it autographed along with the t-shirt he was wearing. However the biggest thrill of the day was when Big Daddy started this car and we got to hear it run, this thing was loud and tearing the up the ground. Later I am going to post a video of this car running so!!!!!!! This thing is awesome.
